Responsibilities

  • Lead the overall Business Development process including strategy, outreach, management meetings, term sheet, contract negotiations and alliance management
  • Manage key stakeholders across all levels of the organization in the Business Development process
  • Establish, maintain and grow key contacts within industry
  • Develop focused Business Development presentations supported by the cross functional teams
  • Develop a focused Business Development outreach plan, including conferences, roadshows, and management meetings
  • Prepare and negotiate term sheets with appropriate collaboration and leadership endorsement
  • Negotiate contracts and amendments
  • Lead due diligence process and cross-functional diligence team
  • Develop colleagues by providing expert content and professional guidance
  • Manage ongoing alliances, ensure alignment of strategic vision and operational execution

Requirements

  • Master in Business, Finance or Life Sciences
  • Deep knowledge of both Business Principles and Healthcare/ Oncology drug development
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Pharmaceutical/ Biotechnology industry
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Business Development
  • In depth understanding of the field of Immuno-oncology
  • Strong comprehension of and ability to articulate Affimed’s strategy, technology and pipeline
  • Ability to converse fluently about Affimed’s pipeline and oncology drug development
  • Proven record of a portfolio of successful transactions (i.e. deal sheet) with a focus on pre-clinical and clinical stage pharmaceutical assets

  • Excellent and effective communication (both written and oral), organizational and presentation skills
  • Fluent in English (written and oral)
