The successful candidate will take on full responsibility for the management of a bispecific drug development program in immuno-oncology and will lead execution from early clinical development to program completion by joining an international and diverse cross-functional program team. The position reports into the Senior Program Director and works alongside a Junior Program Manager already assigned to the development program.

  • Plan and manage the operational execution of an assigned drug development program from early clinical development to program completion
  • Drive execution through managing a cross-functional program team and by fully leveraging the expertise and facilitating the collaboration of all functions and internal/external subject matter experts within a matrix organization
  • Contribute to the development and further enhancement of the program vision and strategy by closely collaborating with the Program Director
  • Develop comprehensive program recommendations in close collaboration with involved functions and Program Director
  • Lead process to plan, monitor, manage, and report the program budget
  • Lead process to assess and manage program risks
  • Work pro-actively with team members to identify and resolve issues and create opportunities to ensure program execution on time, in budget, in quality
  • Represent program in internal governance meetings and present program status
  • Work with the Project Management Office (PMO) to develop, implement, and maintain processes and tools, and ensure development in adherence with Program Governance
  • Lead defined project workstreams and sub-teams, where needed


  • Degree in Life Sciences (preferably PhD, PharmD, MD, or equivalent)
  • 10 years of experience in biological drug research and development, preferably in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry, with at least 5 years of experience in program or project management
  • Demonstrable experience in project management of a clinical drug development program, preferably in oncology
  • Broad understanding of the entire drug development process, including its technical, clinical, and regulatory context
  • Demonstrable leadership experience within a matrix environment
  • Proficient in project management practices and tools, including project controlling
  • Ability to work in a highly structured and organized manner
  • Strong team player and collaborative mindset
  • Proficient user of Microsoft 365 and MS Project
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills in oral and written English
