Senior Accountant (f/m/d)

Responsibilities

• Process invoices, review accounting entries and support accounts payable
• Support monthly, quarterly and year-end financial closing
• Support quarterly and year-end audit activities
• Fixed assets accounting and reconciliation to General Ledger
• Support accounting and reporting processes for collaborations and public grants
• Perform internal controls for specified accounting processes
• Contribute to future process-improvements within the ERP System
• Reconciliation of Intercompany accounts
• Support VAT refunding process

Requirements

• Professional accounting education (e.g. Bilanzbuchhalter/Kaufmännische Ausbildung)
• 5 years of proven experience in relevant fields within the industry, preferred in an international environment
• Knowledge in R&D / Life Science business preferred but not a must
• Profound knowledge in German GAAP, IFRS knowledge preferred
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems (MS Dynamics 365 preferred)
• Profound Excel and PowerPoint skills
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Excellent and effective communication skills
• Fluent in German (written and oral) and professional working proficiency in English (minimum B2)
