  • Provide scientific communications expertise and leadership to the message framework and scientific platform that guide external communication planning
  • Co-lead the strategic publication team to ensure smooth, compliant and timely processes for scientific dissemination
  • Identify gaps between communication goals and supportive data in order to develop potential solutions (e.g., study, analysis, expert position statements)
  • Lead the establishment of a key opinion leader engagement plan in collaboration with the Chief Scientific Officer and Chief Medical Officer
  • Direct the planning, development and implementation of key initiatives with external experts/KOLs to generate information that will serve to guide strategic and communication planning (e.g., global workshops, advisory boards)
  • Develop global association and congress strategy to build advocacy and to guide scientific dissemination plan, educational initiatives and KOL engagement
  • Lead internal training on Message Framework, scientific platform and external presentation planning
  • Collaborate with head of Business Development on scientific communication strategy associated with potential new opportunities


  • Bachelor’s degree from college or university in job relevant discipline
  • Experience in the Life Sciences/ Biotech industry
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in scientific/medical marketing and communications including external expert engagement and data dissemination, with big pharma a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively work with cross-functional partners and external thought leaders
  • Demonstrated experience in strategic planning with successful execution
  • Ability to understand complex scientific concepts/data and translate to simple, compelling messages
  • Highly motivated, organized, self-starter with a track record of achievements
  • Fluency in English and working proficiency in German– written and oral
