  • Develop and implement an integrated strategic communication plan to advance Affimed’s brand identity and increase the visibility of its technologies and programs across key stakeholder audiences
  • Create and implement crisis communication plans
  • Assume responsibility for all external printed and electronical communications, including Affimed’s website and use of new media and any other outlets deemed appropriate
  • Support of financial reporting and communication activities and the management of the relationships with associated vendors
  • Actively engage, cultivate and manage press relationships to ensure coverage surrounding Affimed’s programs, special events, public announcements and other projects
  • Develop and implement a public relations strategy to enhance and ensure meaningful relationships with targeted, external key audiences, including the media and key influencers This also includes the preparation of talking points, speeches, presentations and other supporting materials
  • Proactive prepare company spokespeople for potential issues or events
  • Oversee the day-to-day activities


  • At least Bachelor’s degree, Master or PhD preferred (Journalism/Public Relations/Communications, Marketing) -Experience in the Life Sciences/Biotech industry, experience in a NASDAQ listed company
    • Basic understanding of immuno-oncology is an advantage, minimally willingness to learn the basics of immuno-oncology
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in journalism, public relations, communications or pharmaceutical marketing
  • Fluency/native level English (oral & written), German language skills desirable
  • Strong team player and collaborative mindset
