Accounts Payable Manager (f/m/d)

  • Lead accounts payable process and monitor related workflows within the ERP System
  • Process owner for Vendor Management (new vendor set up, vendor administration and oversight within the ERP System)
  • Support on set up of Purchase Orders (PO) for ERP users and all related ERP process steps (e.g. product receipts)
  • Support PO changes and questions arising within the ERP System
  • Review accuracy of VAT and financial dimension settings of POs
  • Process and match invoices, review accounting entries
  • Act as liaison between/within Finance and other functional areas to support vendor/Accounts Payable workflows
  • Support quarterly VAT returns and ensure VAT compliance
  • Support quarterly and year-end financial closing and audit activities
  • Ensure closing deadlines are adhered
  • Monitor that Accounts Payable quarter-end processes are accurate and timely, including preparing accruals and reviewing month-end entries


  • Professional accounting education (Bilanzbuchhalter/Kaufmännische Ausbildung o.ä.)
  • 3 – 5 years of proven experience in relevant fields within the industry, preferred in an international environment
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems (MS Dynamics 365 preferred)
  • Affinity to build and improve workflows
  • Experience within a SOX environment preferred
  • Profound Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Basic knowledge of Life Science
  • Knowledge in R&D business preferred but not a must
  • Excellent and effective communication skills
  • Fluent in German (written and oral) and professional working proficiency in English (minimum B2)
